Anhui FAO and Hefei sign partnering relationship

Anhui Provincial Foreign Affairs Office and Hefei Municipal People Government signed a partnering agreement in the office building of Hefei government on December 30 to jointly improve work relating to foreign affairs. The agreement was signed by Yong Chenghan, secretary of the leading Party members' group and director general of Anhui Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, and Ling Yun, deputy secretary of the CPC Hefei Municipal Committee and mayor of Hefei.

Qin Junfeng, member of the leading Party members' group and deputy director general of Anhui Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, Lu Jun, vice mayor of Hefei, and some officials from the economic service division of the provincial foreign affairs office, and Hefei Municipal Foreign Affairs Office witnessed the signing.


Before the signing ceremony, Anhui Provincial Foreign Affairs Office and Hefei Municipal People's Government had a discussion.

Mayor Ling Yun said Hefei government actively supports the partnering between the provincial foreign affairs office and the city of Hefei. She expressed her gratitude for the strong support and efficient services from the provincial foreign affairs office for the city to prevent and control the pandemic and resume work and production, which she praised as manifestations of the unique role of the office in pushing forward local economic development.

The mayor also introduced that Hefei has entered a new opening-up and development period with more open platforms being set up in recent years. She asked the provincial foreign affairs office to continuously support Hefei to carry out exchanges and cooperation with foreign countries, particularly in the fields of service trade, e-commerce, industrial cooperation, culture and education.

Director General Yong Chenghan affirmed the efforts of Hefei in the work relating to foreign affairs in recent years. He said the provincial foreign affairs office will strengthen coordination and cooperation with Hefei. The two sides will, based on Hefei's advantageous resources, work together to make new plans, build new platforms, share resources, and strive to make the partnering relationship a brand benchmark for the entire foreign affairs system of the province. Yong also said the two sides should join more efforts to work for pragmatic results and create a demonstration effect, so as to make more contributions to Hefei's "Five-facet High Ground and Role Model" program, to the overall national diplomacy and to the economic and social development of the whole province.
