The first World Manufacturing Convention (WMC) was held in Hefei from May 25 to 27 last year, which resulted in fruitful achievements and succeeded in building a high-end cooperation and exchange platform for the development of the world manufacturing industry.
At a press conference, Zhang Jian, director-general of Anhui Provincial Department of Commerce, released that a special activity has been arranged for partnering between local enterprises and those from Hong Kong and Macao, which means the partnering of 500 pairs of enterprises last year has been enlarged to 600 pairs for this year. Specifically, the partnering will be arranged for local enterprises with central enterprises, private enterprises, foreign enterprises, Hong Kong and Macao enterprises, Taiwan enterprises, and overseas Chinese enterprises.
Zhang Jian said that more than 1,200 VIP participants have been invited to the event. To ensure the WMC 2019 a great success, we should pay attention to the following matters:
Firstly, the professional nature of the event should be underscored. For partnering with central enterprises, the organizer has invited more than 80 leaders of central enterprises to the occasion, and for partnering with private enterprises, the organizer has invited elite and industrial leaders from many domestic manufacturing enterprises to the event.
Secondly, the international nature of the event should be underscored. So far as of now, some former state leaders of powerful manufacturing countries like Germany, France and Japan, some ministerial officials in foreign countries and eight delegations of foreign local governments such as Derbyshire in the United Kingdom, Maryland in the United States, and Lower Novgorod in Russia, have confirmed their participation.
Thirdly, the authoritative nature of the event should be underscored. The co-sponsors include the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. In addition, the leaders of international organizations such as the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Global Alliance of SMEs, as well as more than 20 academicians and well-known experts have confirmed their participation.
